Crust
rolled oats
2 cups
Iranian dates
soaked in hot water for 15 minutes
replace with Medjool dates or some other variety
1 cup
maple syrup
12 cup
ground flax seeds
2 tbsp
water
1 cup
Chocolate layer
dark chocolate
100 g
maple syrup
14 cup
Filling
plums
sliced
450 g
lemon zest
1 tsp
cinnamon
1 tbsp
brown sugar(optional)
leave out or replace with maple syrup if wfpb
3 tbsp

Preheat the oven to 180C.

Prepare crust

In a food processor, mix all ingredients for the crust.

Pour crust mixture to a baking pan

Pour the crust into a round baking pan. Use a spatula to flatten it out, but leave the edges a bit thicker.

Add chocolate layer

Step
Melt chocolate and maple syrup in the microwave or in a bowl over simmering water. Spread over the crust.

Add plums

Step
Arrange plum slices over the crust. You don't have to be very neat, it's gonna taste good anyway :)

Add spices and sweeteners

Step
Sprinkle cinnamon, lemon zest and sugar (if using) over the plums.

Bake

Bake for 30 minutes on 180C.

Serve

Step
Serve warm straight from the oven or chill in the fridge.
