millet

Cook onion and garlic on water or oil until onions soften up. If using water, add a tbsp a time so it doesn't stick.

Add vegetable broth.

Add chopped tomatoes and millet. Cook on medium heat for 20 minutes.

Remove from heat and add fresh basil leaves.

Using an immersion blender, blend the soup until you reach the desired consistency. I like it a little chunky, but you can make it smooth if you want.

Serve with whole grain bread.
